Open to any Junior fencer who is resident or who fences in Devon Age groups are defined by the fencer’s age on 1st January 2020

Each age group will fence a separate ranking round, of the format detailed above.

Groups using the same weapon size may be combined for the initial seeding round. This will be at the Organisers’ discretion, based on entries.

 

Format, Check-in, and Start times may be subject to change, dependent on entries in each age group.

 

If changes are necessary, as much notice as possible will be given.

 

Membership of British Fencing at Compete level is required for all fencers.

 

Fencers at under 17 and under 15 must use 350N jackets and breeches, and 800N plastrons.

 

Fencers at under 13, under 11, and under 9 may wear trousers, provided the legs are fully covered and all openings or pockets are securely zipped, taped, or sewn closed.

 

Tea and coffee will be available. There are no refreshment facilities at this venue.

Open to any fencer aged 13 or over on the day of the competition.

 

Devon County Champion and Master at Arms titles are reserved to those fencers who are resident or fence in Devon.

All eligible fencers will receive South West Regional Ranking points

 

One seeding round of poules will be followed by full Direct Elimination tableaux.

Depending on entry for both genders, the seeding round may be combined.

 

Medals for each gender will be awarded to the top four, the best Veteran (aged over 40 on 1st January 2020), and the best Cadet (aged under 17 on 1st January 2020).

 

A mixed Plate competition will be included if time permits.

This is a qualifying event for the Devon County Team.

 

If you are selected to represent Devon, entry to this event gives free entry to the Excalibur Inter-County Competition (held in Bath in April 2020).

 

Masters at Arms trophies for male and female fencers will be awarded for the best combined results across all three weapons of the County Championships

 

Current membership of British Fencing at Compete level is required for all fencers.

 

Fencers must use at least 800N plastrons and 350N jackets and breeches.

 

Tea and coffee will be available. There are no refreshment facilities at this venue, but it is a short walk to the town centre.

Devon County Masters at Arms 2020

Devon County Masters at Arms

 

Masters at Arms trophies for male and female fencers will be awarded for the best combined results by a Devon fencer across all three weapons of the Devon County Championships

 

Open to any fencer aged 13 or over on the day of the competition.

 

Those who do not reside or fence in Devon may enter all three weapons at the reduced fee, but will not be eligible for the Master at Arms title.

 

All eligible fencers will receive South West Regional Ranking points
