Senior Event – Individual Mixed Epée Competition
Entry is open to any fencer aged 13 or over on the day of the competition
Check-in Opens 09:45
Check-in Closes 10:15
Start fencing 10:30
Handicap categories:
+2 Fencers with less than 1 year of fencing experience
+1 Fencers with 1 to 2 years of fencing experience
+1 Fencers in their first competition
+1 Fencers over 60 on 01/01/2024
+1 Female fencers
–1 Fencers with a National Ranking OR in the top 30% of their Regional Ranking in Epée,
OR in the top 50% of the National Ranking OR top 10% of their Regional Ranking in Foil or Sabre
–2 Fencers in the top 50% of National Ranking OR top 10% of their Regional Ranking in Epée
Which ever Rankings-based handicap is the larger will be applied.
The maximum positive handicap awarded will be +3, even if fencers meet more categories.
Medals will be awarded to the top four, the best Veteran (over 40 on 01/01/2024), and the Best Man or Best Woman (whichever is not the overall winner).
The overall winner will also receive a £25.00 Salago voucher.
If there are 17 entries or fewer, the competition will run as a Poule Unique.
If there are 18 entries or more, there will be one round of poules followed by a full DE tableau (to 15 hits, with handicaps multiplied by 3).
Current membership of British Fencing at Compete or Recreational level is required.
Fencers must use at least 800N plastrons and 350N jackets and breeches.
